The McKinney Safety Vests are a nickname given to this type of First Responders Safety Vests. It was designed by a fire chief in McKinney Texas and the style has been adopted by many fire departments around the country. This version of safety vest meets ANSI 207-2006 First Responder Public Service Safety Vests; as well as, ANSI 107-2010 Class 2 regulations for a safety vest. This first responder safety vest is recommended when being used in high traffic areas.

The vests are constructed with a soft and flexible material for all day comfort. The vests are built with a 5 point Velcro tear away design and also come with microphone tabs on the top left and right of the vest. The stripes are built with 2 layers of striping for additional visibility. The wider high visibility stripe is 4.5 inches and the inside has 2 reflective 1 inch stripes on either side. The vests are sized in standard sizes which fits Med-3X sizes and a larger size that fits 4X + sizes. Finally, the vests have one outside pocket on the lower left hand side.
